Andrea and Will’s Bluemont Vineyard wedding celebrated a love built across four years of long distance. Heartfelt vows, family connections, and Virginia wine country scenery—a Northern Virginia wedding story by Fine Art Wedding Film.
Andrea & Will
A love story that grew across four years and many miles — filmed at Bluemont Vineyard in the Virginia Blue Ridge.
Andrea & Will · Wedding Film by Fine Art Wedding Film
It began in the aisles of a Target store
Before the vineyard, the flower arch and the vows, there were two coworkers at Target. Andrea Ramirez and Will Collings met on the job — but their story didn't truly begin until later, when they reconnected after basic training.
That second meeting opened a door. What followed was four years of long distance: four years of counting down to the next visit, of learning each other across phone calls and time zones, and of choosing — again and again — a future together.
So when it came time for their wedding at Bluemont Vineyard in Bluemont, Virginia, Andrea and Will didn't want something staged. They wanted it raw and authentic — a day that looked like the relationship they had built, surrounded by the people who had cheered them on through every mile.
“His ability to understand me and not judge me, and to take care of me at my worst.”Andrea, on what makes Will special
A love built on being understood
There is a quiet depth in that answer. Beyond the excitement of a wedding is the person you turn to when you have nothing polished to offer — the one who knows your hardest days and stays close through them.
Their favorite things together are beautifully ordinary: watching TV, going out to eat, and laughing — not at anything in particular, just at being themselves. After years apart, those everyday moments carry real weight. Being in the same room becomes something to treasure.
Their wedding day marked the start of a marriage with more room for exactly that: shared meals, quiet evenings, and the comfort of building a home with someone who already knows you.

A vineyard, a flower arch & two families becoming one
Andrea and Will chose Bluemont Vineyard for everything — getting ready, the ceremony and the reception — with around seventy-five of their closest family and friends gathered on the hillside. Andrea wanted the beauty of the venue woven into the film, so she would remember the place alongside the promises and the people.
The details were personal and simple: a flower arch framing the ceremony, florals arranged on rustic barrels, and a wedding cake they couldn't wait to share. Letters were exchanged, two readings were shared during the ceremony, and the evening moved into the celebration they had looked forward to for years.
When we asked what mattered most, their answer was clear — and it shaped how we told their story:
Their vows
The spoken promises — the heart of the film, in their own voices.
The first dance
Unchoreographed and real — just the two of them, finally in the same place.
Father–daughter dance
A different chapter of love, held for a few minutes on the dance floor.
Family moments
The glances, hugs and laughter between two families uniting.
That is where our approach at Fine Art Wedding Film always begins: understanding what a couple wants to carry forward, then shaping a cinematic film around the words, people and experiences that hold that meaning. For Andrea and Will, the heart of the story is a love that grew across the miles — and the joy of finally beginning the next chapter side by side.

Planning your own Bluemont Vineyard wedding
Andrea and Will's celebration is a lovely reference for couples considering a vineyard wedding in Northern Virginia — especially those who want a scenic Blue Ridge setting and a day centered on family. Here is what we'd share with any couple planning wedding videography at Bluemont Vineyard.
The VenueWhy couples love The Stable at Bluemont Vineyard
When you contact the vineyard, ask specifically about The Stable — its dedicated wedding space, separate from the tasting room. The venue describes outdoor ceremony and cocktail-hour settings alongside a climate-controlled barn reception space, with sweeping views across the Loudoun valley.
For filmmaking, that mix is a gift. A wide frame tells you where the story takes place; a close frame returns to a hand held during the ceremony, a parent's expression, or a couple listening to each other's vows. The venue lists capacity for up to 200 guests, includes planning and day-of coordination in its packages, works with Savoir Fare Limited as its caterer, and offers a Stone Cottage on the property. Always confirm current packages and availability directly with the venue.
Tip OneGive your vows the attention they deserve
If your spoken promises matter — as they did for Andrea and Will — tell your videographer early. Talk through how ceremony audio will be recorded, whether you're writing personal vows, and whether letters or readings should help tell your story. For an outdoor vineyard ceremony, ask how your team plans for wind and surrounding sound.
Tip TwoLeave time to enjoy the vineyard
If the landscape is why you chose Bluemont, give it room in your timeline. Plan a short couple's portrait session together with your photographer, videographer and planner — the best timing depends on season, light, weather and access to parts of the property. A few unhurried minutes together give you both beautiful footage and a welcome pause.
Tip ThreeTell your filmmakers which family moments matter
“Capture our family” becomes far more powerful when you share the relationships behind it. Perhaps a parent's dance is especially meaningful, relatives are traveling a long way, or a grandparent rarely has everyone together. Share those details privately with your filmmaking team so nothing important is missed.
Tip FourPlan the flow from ceremony to reception
Review the transitions with your venue coordinator and film team — ceremony to portraits, cocktail hour, and reception — and allow time for setup before speeches and dances. The vineyard describes timeline coordination and weather contingency planning, so ask to see the indoor ceremony option on your tour.

Choosing Your FilmmakerFinding the right Bluemont Vineyard wedding videographer
When comparing wedding filmmakers, look for films that make you feel something about the people in them. Beautiful venue footage should sit alongside clear sound, thoughtful storytelling and real attention to family. Watch how a filmmaker handles vows, speeches, changing light and the quiet moments between the scheduled ones — and tell them what drew you to Bluemont, and what drew you to each other.
