Sammy and Alex met during their third year at UVA and instantly clicked over shared humor and warmth. After years of growing together — through long-distance, law school, and their sweet pup Shelby joining the family — they said “I do” surrounded by 109 of their closest family and friends.
Their relationship is built on laughter, patience, and a little bit of playful teasing — and their wedding day reflected exactly that.
💍 The Wedding Day at White’s Ferry Manor
Located on the banks of the Potomac River, White’s Ferry Manor in Leesburg, VA offered the perfect backdrop for their June celebration. The couple got ready on site — Sammy in the bright bridal suite and Alex with his groomsmen nearby — before meeting at the altar under a canopy of green trees.
Shelby, their adorable dog, made a special appearance as the ring bearer (and stole everyone’s heart). Guests enjoyed a giant chess set during cocktail hour, Filipino and German desserts, and a custom cigar bar with personalized matchbooks — a nod to the couple’s shared love of detail and personality.
The reception was pure joy: from their choreographed first dance to Queen’s “You’re My Best Friend” entrance and the sparkling send-off that ended the night.
